Wait, but I thought there wasn’t any alcohol at Magic Kingdom?
Historically, no. But recently? Short answer: yes – with caveats.
It started with table-service (read: sit-down) restaurants, and for a while, only beer and wine were offered. Then it evolved into a small selection of liquor cocktails, making it much easier for adults to justify spending all their money on a full meal just to have a good drink at 2 pm.
And now you can even have a glass of bubbly when you take the kids to Cinderella’s Royal Table!
With the addition of Magic Kingdom’s very own pirate-themed lounge, Beak & Barrel, which rolled onto the scene in August of 2025, those who choose to can enjoy a drink without committing to a complete dining experience.
But no, for better or for worse, you can’t walk around the park with a drink. And if you want one, you’re probably going to need a reservation since you can’t do it on a whim at most places.
So if you want to imbibe at Magic Kingdom, or think you’ll want to, here’s what we recommend.
Get a reservation for Beak and Barrel
Atmospheric and swashbuckling, this lounge is making waves with a menu that is uniquely Caribbean-inspired and an immersive scene rich in detail, giving patrons not just cocktails and small plates, but also the storytelling experience Disney is famous for.
In other words, it’s popular.
Reservations are still hard to come by, but know that you can often find walk-up availability during “off-peak” hours (such as during the fireworks or earlier in the morning) if you’re interested in the experience!
Have a meal at Skipper Canteen
Already one of our go-tos, Skipper Canteen is, hands down, the best table-service restaurant at Magic Kingdom. In our humblest opinion, of course.
With some of the best food options in the park, you’re getting what you pay for, which is more than can be said for other sit-down restaurants in the area. Food aside, it also has a solid cocktail list (a menu with a marg and a tiki drink? We’re in). Our rec? Go for the Jungle Bird!
Oh, and don’t miss the Pão de Queijo (Brazilian Cheese Bread) – it’s a “secret” menu item you can thank us for later.
Enjoy the (iconic) Monorail Crawl
Consider leaving the park for a break and hop on the monorail for a spin around the deluxe resorts’ bars and lounges. And cross it off your Disney World bucket list; you’re participating in one of our – and many of our readers’ – favorite park pastimes!
Start at Enchanted Rose (Grand Floridian), then hit the Tambu Lounge and Trader Sam’s (Polynesian) before finishing with a Stack Burger and Mac & Cheese at the Steakhouse 71 Lounge (Contemporary). You’ll probably see us there!

Magic Kingdom might not be EPCOT when it comes to strolling around with your adult beverage, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a drink or two. Between new lounges, expanding menus, and nearby resort options, the opportunities are growing.
