Alright, let’s just cut to the chase:
There is no guaranteed way or major trick to pulling the sword of the stone in Fantasyland at Walt Disney World — it is (somewhat) random.
We have heard a bit of advice from a former Cast Member though, although things change so quickly at Disney, so take it with a grain of salt!
The word is that it is controlled or “randomized” by a Cast Member in the area who has control of a remote.
The things you or your loved one can do to actually better your chances? Simply be very gentle and don’t actually pull on the sword too hard.
Disney doesn’t want you flying backwards and knocking yourself unconscious in the actual middle of the most magical place on earth, so the CM told us that they’re instructed to not push the button for people being overly eager.
That’s all we got though—the best thing to do is enjoy your shot and get a great photo op!
